Scott Toney, President & CEO

As President and CEO, Scott Toney leads Camstar’s operations while providing vision and strategic direction to the company. Toney developed his early leadership and business foundation during his ten year career with Procter and Gamble. He left Procter and Gamble to fulfill a desire to start and grow an entrepreneurial enterprise. Since his departure from Procter and Gamble, he has started and led five different technology based companies.

One entity started and led by Toney was acquired by Camstar Systems, Inc. in 2001. While at Camstar, Toney served on the executive team as Vice President and General Manager of Global Solutions and later became Vice President of Corporate Strategic Initiatives. In 2002, he founded Toney and Associates, Inc., a consultancy focused on the development and execution of growth and financing strategies for closely-held businesses in the Southeast U.S. Since his return to Camstar as CEO in 2005, he has led the company onto a path of rapid growth.

In addition to his commitment to Camstar, Toney serves on the Board of Directors for three emerging technology companies. He also sits on the Entrepreneurial Leadership Board for the McColl's Graduate School of Business and is a member of the Charlotte Chamber's Board of Directors. In 2006, Toney was recognized as a top CEO Visionary by Start-IT magazine and is also a past recipient of the Business Journal's "Top 40 Under 40" business leaders. Toney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
